Leading European Intellectual Property Attorneys, Venner Shipley, have announced that they will be holding free intellectual property consultations for attendees at the 2017 Interplas Conference.

This will be Venner Shipley’s first appearance at Interplas, where they will be exhibiting throughout the full 3 days in Hall 4 at stand B72.  Both exhibitors and attendees are encouraged to attend private clinics with one of our attorneys, where you will be able to obtain specialised advice relating to how to protect and develop your intellectual property.

Intellectual Property is a valuable commercial tool that sits at the heart of your business’s ability to generate income and goodwill making it an integral element of the value of your business.  Our team of attorneys work to protect this value and can deliver an IP strategy which could help you expand or improve the management of your IP portfolio. Our attorneys will help you identify what can be protected – this might be a tiny part of a product or manufacturing process, or it could be the foundations of your entire product – and will advise you on how and when to put this protection in place. Protection could be in the form of patents, trade marks or designs or perhaps all three.  We look at different options for seeking protection and provide advice as to which route is most appropriate, taking into account our clients’ commercial and technical objectives.

As an example of our work we have been advising one client for the past 3 years on all aspects of their intellectual property. This was based around putting together a patent strategy to allow the client to attract investment including freedom-to-operate advice, patentability advice, drafting, filing and prosecution of their patent applications.  We then worked closely with a professional IP searching company to place a value on the business which has grown from £12m to £42m as a result of the strategy and allowing them to attract several layers of investment of 7-figure sums.

To take full advantage of this opportunity, please do not hesitate to visit us.   We look forward to meeting you!
